We're visiting Vegas next month and have one night for a lifestyle club. We've narrowed it to The Green Door and The Red Rooster. Which one should we pick? We're an experienced couple, mid-30s, looking for a fun crowd and good play areas.

These are Vegas's two iconic clubs and they couldn't be more different. The Green Door is a 12,000+ sq ft maze of themed rooms and play areas on East Sahara. It's more structured, has a cover charge, and attracts a mix of tourists and locals. The layout is fun to explore — you'll find everything from private rooms to group spaces. It can get very busy on weekend nights, especially when conventions are in town. The Red Rooster is old-school Vegas — been around since 1982. It's on the east side in a residential area and feels more like a legendary house party. Pool, hot tub, laid-back dress code, and a crowd that skews toward regulars. The vibe is much more relaxed and less clubby. For one night as an experienced couple? I'd say Green Door if you want the full 'Vegas club experience,' Red Rooster if you want something more intimate and authentic.

Red Rooster is our go-to. It's less polished than Green Door but the energy is better. The pool/hot tub area is where the magic happens in warmer months. Green Door has more rooms and space but can feel a bit impersonal when it's packed with tourists who are there more out of curiosity than genuine lifestyle interest. Rooster attracts people who know what they want.

Unpopular opinion: do both. Green Door first (opens earlier), hang for a couple hours, then Uber to Red Rooster for the late-night crowd. We did this last year and it was the best night of our trip. Green Door for the spectacle, Red Rooster for the connection.
